Paradox NEXT "Help Button" is here to make you feel safer by sending your emergency to Paradox NEXT Alarm Monitoring Station with the press of a button.

If you find yourself in some kind of emergency situation, press the "Help Button" for 3 seconds to automatically trigger an alert message to Paradox NEXT network with your name, mobile number and current location.

Paradox NEXT Alarm Monitoring Station personnel is notified and the action plan relevant to the customer is executed.

To activate and use the application contact Paradox NEXT at info@paradoxnext.com to get your personal License Key.

Notes:

  • Paradox NEXT "Help Button" requires a data connection and access to your phone's location services.
  • When a Help Request is unable to be sent through data (TCP) connections, if the service is activated by you, an SMS will be send. This is an optional feature. To use the SMS Send feature contact PARADOX NEXT.

Privacy Statement – Help Button Application

This is the privacy statement of Paradox Hellas S.A. registered at 3 Korinthou str. in Athens, Greece ("Paradox Hellas S.A.").

This statement informs you of the types of personal data we collect, how we use them and for how long they are kept, when you use our software. With this privacy statement we also fulfill our duty to inform you pursuant to Art. 13 GDPR.

Privacy Policy

Paradox Hellas S.A. is committed to your privacy. The information we have about our software users is protected and secure and we work diligently to ensure that preferences regarding the use of your information are honored. This Privacy Policy explains the types of personal information we collect and how we use, store, protect and disclose that information.

What information do we collect?

In this Privacy Policy, your 'personal information' means information that could allow you to be identified. The 'personal information' for the 'Help Button Application' comprises of the information that you give us directly and information that we collect and transmit automatically.

The information that you provide directly is your:

  • name
  • telephone number
  • email address
  • an additional contact persons' name and phone (optional).

The information that we collect automatically is your:

  • device ID.
  • Location.
    Your locations is also collected only when your request help by using the 'Help button' in our application. No location tracking is taking place when the application is not running and there is not an active help request.

How do we use your personal information?

We use your personal information to:

  • Verify that you have an active contract with Paradox NEXT
  • Send your Name, Phone number and location to Paradox NEXT's Alarm Monitoring Station when you activate the Help Button.

Who do we share your personal information with?

  • We share your Name and Phone number with Paradox NEXT.
  • We also share your location with Paradox NEXT only when a help request is received from you.

We do not share your personal data or location with any other entities, and for no other reasons than the described above.

Data retention

All user data are kept while there is an active contract between the client and Paradox NEXT. Once an active contract expires and within 2 months, all personal information are anonymized. The process ensures that there is no way to relate the retained information (Help requests, Activation date) to your real Name or telephone.

Transferring personal data outside the EU

Your information is stored on private dedicated server of Paradox Hellas. The data center is hosted in Germany. No information is transmitted outside EU once the user uses the application inside EU.

Security

We take all reasonable precautions to keep your personal information secure and require any third parties that handle or process your personal information to do the same. Access to your personal information is restricted to prevent unauthorized access, modification or misuse and is only permitted among our employees and agents on a need-to-know basis. Paradox Hellas uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving user data exchanged with our applications. We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you on our application. In case of a security breach we will inform and cooperate with the Greek Data Protection Authority. All communication between the client (application) and our data servers use https encryption.

Your privacy rights and who to contact

As an individual you have the right to:

  • access, rectify your personal data, and even request to delete those inaccurate, incomplete or outdated ;
  • object for legitimate reasons and restrict the processing of your personal data in specific circumstances
  • withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal data
  • be notified of a Personal Data Breach
  • Make a complaint to the Greek Data Protection Authority (https://www.dpa.gr/, tel. 210 64 75 600).
  • If you have any questions, comments or concerns about how we handle your personal information, please contact us at paradox-hellas@paradox.gr. You have the right to tell us if you:
    • don't want to be contacted in the future by us
    • would like a copy of the personal information we hold about you
    • would like us to correct, update or delete your personal information in our records
